- Assistant Dean and Lecturer of Business

Job Summary. Reporting to the Dean, the Assistant Dean/Lecturer position requires a 2/1
teaching load in addition to the following activities:
- Accreditation: Supervising the data collection and report writing required for
AACSB accreditation. - Strategic enrollment and staffing planning: Developing short- and long-term
financial plans with special attention to the implications of enrollment planning
and projections at the University, College, and department/program levels,
working with the Dean to ensure that enrollment and financial projections are
aligned. Advising the Dean and Leadership team on human resource planning,
management, and process implementation. - Staff supervision: Supervising the college budget manager and
marketing/media manager with dotted line supervision responsibility of
department administrative assistants. - Policies and procedures: Developing and ensuring fiscal responsibility policies
and procedures. - Financial planning: Working with budget manager to review budget requests
from departments and programs. Advising the dean on allocation priorities,
based on enrollment patterns and resource needs for the school and other
academic departments and programs. - Building and facilities: Overseeing facilities and space allocation decisions in
collaboration with university facilities personnel. - University Liaison: Maintaining appropriate working relationships with staff from
the Provost’s Office, Business Affairs, Human Resources, and Institutional
Research and Planning.
The position is a 12-month, non-tenure track appointment.

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Earned Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field, by August 1,
2026 with at least 18 graduate semester hours in accounting or finance. - Significant prior experience with university budget and planning
- Demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in Excel and budget planning software.
- Evidence of effective teaching ability.
- Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
- Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy,
mentoring, and curriculum design and development.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Banner, Workday, and other university software solutions.
- Familiarity with AACSB Accreditation and data reporting requirements
Proposed Salary
Commensurate with experience.
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
